My Experiences in Medicine, Theology, and Along the Way by Douglas Busby

Category:

In this fascinating book, Rev. Dr. Douglas E. Busby describes remarkable experiences that he had in his careers in medicine, theology, and along the way. These experiences began as a pioneer in space clinical medicine and ended as an explorer of spiritual healing. Meanwhile, he held many clinical, research, administrative, and teaching positions in aerospace and occupational medicine, and then became an interim minister and academic theologian. Dr. Busby believes that as spiritual beings, we are on Earth to have a learning experience to help us along our paths to God. Perhaps this book will be in some ways a learning experience for its readers as it has been for him.

Dr. Busby is a both physician and a minister. As a physician, he received his medical doctorate (MD, cum laude) degree and Master of Science (MSc) degree in biophysics from the University of Western Ontario in Canada. His post-graduate studies at Ohio State University and the Lovelace Foundation led to his being certified as a specialist in Aerospace Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine and elected a Fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine. As a minister, Dr. Busby received his Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree from the Chicago Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry (DMin) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees from the Graduate Theological Foundation. His 67 publications include the first book on clinical problems from hazards of space operations and two books on spiritual healing.
