Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.

I have written one nonfiction book, MARK MY WORDS, and I’m currently working on my fourth novel.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?

THE HEALER is out now, the story of an ordinary man who discovers that his blood cures disease. It is inspired by my own struggles with calamitous health problems and looks at another possibility for what humans are all about.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?

I used to write from 11pm to 3am six nights a week. Now it’s a very ordinary 8-4 endeavor.

What authors, or books have influenced you?

Frederick Buechner, Robert Ludlum (especially the Jason Bourne stuff!), Morris West, in particular his THE CLOWNS OF GOD.

What are you working on now?

I’m currently writing THE NIGHTCROSSER, after finishing THE HEALING, during Covid restrictions. Both continue the stories of the characters in The Healer.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?

I haven’t figured that out yet. I currently write short, 1000 word, stories on Facebook which go in front of over 1 million readers just for the joy of telling stories.

Which Websites you like most to promote your book

The online book club is great, with reviews and campaigns. I’m still learning the social media game.

Do you have any advice for new authors?

Write, do it some more, keep writing, show to people you don’t know and learn from what they say that will make you better at your craft. If you don’t want to learn the craft, don’t bother writing.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?

Don’t impose limits on your imagination.

What are you reading now?

Steven King

What’s next for you as a writer?

Getting the novels to the screen.

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?

THE CLOWNS OF GOD, THE BOURNE TRILOGY, some good poetry.
