Deena Lindstedt
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Deena Lindstedt opted to take early retirement from a business career to pursue a new vocation as a creative writer. Knowing she had a lot to learn, she studied her craft with determination and ultimately returned to college. While researching and writing her senior paper, Shakespeare, Perhaps a Woman, she came to believe Elizabeth Trentham, a maid of honor in Queen Elizabeth’s I court, and her husband, Edward deVere, the seventeenth Earl of Oxford, collaborated in writing the plays under the pseudonym, Shake-spear. After graduating from Marylhurst University with a BA in English Literature and Writing, Deena was invited to deliver her paper at the 2011 Shakespeare Authorship Symposium held at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. Believing she may have solved a four-hundred-year-old mystery, she decided she would write a novel. After many years of further extensive research of the Elizabethan era, she finished her novel, Lady of the Play, published by Wings ePress on October 1, 2021. Her other writing honors include her first novel, Deception Cove, a romantic suspense novel, published in 2010. She recently updated this book as the first in the series of the Meredith Maxwell mysteries. The revision of Deception Cove will be published by Wing ePress in May 2022. She is currently writing the second book in the series titled, Betrayal Bay.
